At a Glance Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality
Badaiyatal rural municipality belongs to Bardiya district under the Lumbini province of Nepal. Badaiya Lake, ancient Kalika temple, Dui Mohana, Nagmani Nath etc. are historical place of Bdhaiyatal rural municipality. Geographically, Badhaiyatal is a major religious, historical and commercial industrial area in the Lumbini Province. It is located at 81023'17 "to 81033'49" East longitude and 2804'11 "to 28013'58" North latitude. It is situated at an altitude of 143 m to 157 m above sea level. It has an area of 115.19 sq. Km. Bansgadhi municipality is bounded on the north by Gulariya municipality on the west, India on the south and Banke district on the east. It is 25 kilometers west of Nepalgunj city. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 47868 and 10333 households. Temperature highly affects the lifestyle of Badhaiyatal rural municipality. Due to extreme heat in summer season, people wear light cotton clothes and rarely come out during the day time. While in the winter season, the temperature may drop to 6°C during which people wear thick woolen clothes.
