Banphikot Rural Municipality is located in Western Rukum District of Karnali Province of Nepal. The total area of the rural municipality is 190.43 square kilometers. Banphikot rural municipality was established according to Nepal's new constitution, 2072 by merging previous 5 VDCs; Banphikot, Pipal, Duli (ward no 4, 5 & 6) and Magma (ward no 1-6 &9)  The rural Municipality is divided into total 10 wards and head quarters is situated at Banphikot. Banphikot Rural Municipality lies in the east Sisne RM (Rukum east district), in the south  Musikot Municipality, in the west Sanibheri Rural  municipality and  in the north Aathbiskot Municipality.
