At a Glance Bardaghat Municipality
Bardaghat Municipality one of the municipaity of Nawalparasi West district of Lumbini Province of Nepal. It is situated in the lap of Chure range. This municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging then existing Makar and Panchanagar VDCs. Again during the local election, the neighbouring VDC Dawanne devi and some part of Dhurkot, Jamuniya, Rupauliya were merged in it. According to the census of 2011, its total population was 61,472 with the area of 162.05 km2. It has the population density of 716.15 per sq.km. It has total of 16 wards. It is bounded by Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality on east, Sunawal Municipality and Sarawal Rural Municipality on west, Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality on north and Pratappur Rural Municipality and Sarawal Rural Municipality on south.
It is an emerging town of Nawalparasi (West) District that is developing rapidly. It is a commercial and trading area, mostly an upcoming economy hub of Nawalparasi. The economy of Bardaghat is centred around trade, service and business.
