At a Glance Chhayanath Rara Municipality

Chhayanath Rara Municipality is named after the two most iconic tourism area of Mugu. The total area of this municipality is 480.67 sq KM. This municipality is to the South of Humla to the north of Jumla, to the west of Mugum Karmarong Rural municipality and to the east of Soru and Khatyad Rural Municipality. This municipality is adorned with the most beautiful Rara lake which is also the smallest national park of Nepal. There are diverse customs; culture, rituals in this Municipality. The famous shrines of Tharpa Masta, Bhuwani, Khapar, Kalika Malika temple are famous among the pilgrims similarly Chankheli Mountain, Koiji Murakka Mountain, Chuchemara Mountain also have potential to attract tourists and travelers.
