Lekhbeshi municipality lies in the eastern part of Surkhet district and adjoined with the Birendranagar municipality. It is the second smallest municipality of nine municipalities with an areas of 180.92 square kilometer. The municipality comprises of five village development committees namely lekhpharsa, dasarathpur, neta, kalyan and satakhani which is now divided into 10 wards.
