At a Glance Marchawari Rural Municipality
Marchawari Rural Municipality is located about 15 km south of Bangai of Bhairawa Lumbini section under East-West Postal Road, with 27.370218 east longitude and 83.329978 north latitude. It is bounded on the north by Kethimai, on the west by Sammarimai, and on the east and south by the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the National Census 2078 (preminilary report), the total population of Marchwari Rural municipality is 41,058, out of which 20632 are men and 20426 are women. Twenty-seven percent of the population is still below the poverty line in this municipality. There are 7 wards in the rural municipalities with seven public health facilities, namely; Rayapur Primary Health Centre, Simara Health Post, Bagaliya Health Post, Silotia Health Post, BHSC-03, BHSC-05 and BHSC-06 are providing health services in this RM.
