Nepalgunj is a Sub-Metropolitan City in Banke District, Lumbini Province. Nepal on the Terai plains near the southern border with Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh state of India. It is formed by merging 10 VDC and has 23 wards. It is one of the developed city in Nepal. Total area of the municipality is 85.94 sq km.
The city also has religious significance. Another feature of this city is its linkage with Nepal India border which is 5km south joining East-west highway.
