At a Glance Simkot Rural Municipality

Simkot Rural Municipality is located in the northwestern part of Humla district of the Karnali province of Nepal. The Kharpunath rural municipality is located in the east and south parts of this RM and Namkha RM is in the west and north. There are currently 8 (eight) wards in this rural municipality consisting of previous 5 VDCs named, Simkot, Bargaun, Thehe, Dandafya and Syada. According to the national census 2078, this RM's population is 12130. Among them male population is 6101 and female population is 6029. It has an area of 785.89 sq. Km. It has a beautiful natural forest, rich in biodiversity and diverse ethnic identity. It provides fast and efficient service with an emphasis on technology-friendly services. There are one district hospital and four health posts.
