At a Glance Siyari Rural Municipality

Siyari Rural municipality is located in Rupandehi district, Lumbini province. Geographically, it is located at 82 degree 20 minute to 82 degree 28 minutes east longitude and 27 degree 31 minute to 27 degree37 minute 30 second north latitude. The area of this municipality is 66.17 square kilometers.
In the north of Siyari Rural Municipality there is Suddhodan Rural Municipality , In west and south is Mayadevi Rural Municipality and in east is Tilottama and Omsatiya Rural Municipality. It comprises 5 previous village development committees (Chilhiya,Mainahiya,Harnaiya, Dayanagar and Paschim Amawa) of Rupandehi District and have total 7 wards.
Siyari Rural Municipality is named by the Siyari river that flows through wards 2,3,4, 5, 6 and 7. The minimum and maximum temperature of the Siyari Rural Municipality is 8.78 degree and 43.40 degree respectively.
Conscientious political parties and motivated citizens are also the source of strong and sustainable development of this Municipality. Siyari Rural Municipality is inhabited by people of different castes and religions. Agriculture has the largest role in the average family income and foreign employment is one of the main sources of income in the municipality.Different festivals are celebrated in this Municipality where people of different communities and castes are live.Dashain, Tihar, Maghi, Holi, Gaura, Krishna Janmashtami, Bakraid, Aitabari, Chhathparva, Buddha Jayanti, Christmas etc. are found to be the major festivals here.
